Department of Audits and Accounts

The Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts (DOAA) was created by an act of the Georgia General Assembly on December 6, 1923, to ensure the protection and proper use of stores, equipment, and property of the State through annual financial audits of every department, institution, agency, commission, bureau, and officer of the State.
