Many voter list maintenance responsibilities, including obtaining eligibility information (deaths, felonies, etc.) and reviewing for data errors (e.g., duplicate voter checks), are conducted by the Office of the Secretary of State, and county processes complement state-level measures.

The dashboard includes seven pages that show county-level list maintenance processes. This information can be viewed for each county as well as statewide.

Tips and Tricks for the Dashboard Pages:

  • Hovering over any visual will provide the full data.
  • Counties listed as “No Response” means the county election staff did not provide any information on the displayed list maintenance process.
  • Information buttons on each page give more context to visuals.
  • Navigate across the pages using the white buttons at the top of each dashboard page. Use the home button to return to the landing page.
  • Information for a particular county is viewable under the county view and statewide information is viewable on other pages.
  • Use the County Responses button to open a table view of all counties next to the exhibit. When opening multiple tables, the tables will stack on top of one another. Tables can be cleared by using the X button on the table view. These tables can be sorted by clicking the column header.

Tips and Tricks for the Dashboard Map:

  • Use the CTRL button to select multiple counties.
  • Clicking on a data point in an exhibit will change the map display to show the location of the applicable counties.
  • Clicking on a county on the map will change the exhibit to display the applicable data point(s). To clear the county selection, click on the exhibit, which will return the map and exhibit to a statewide view.
  • For the Active, Inactive, and Pending voter maps, darker blue represents more voters. The number of voters is based on voter registration data obtained from the Office of the Secretary of State in September 2025.
  • For the County Voter Registration Staff map, darker blue represents more staff. The number of staff is based on county reporting as of September 2025.
  • For the Voter Cancellations map, darker blue represents more voters that have been cancelled. Cancellations are based on data obtained from the Election Administration and Voting Survey for the 2022-2024 federal election cycle.

The Table View page contains processes for each county.
