School System Dashboard

Tips and Tricks
The dashboard includes three pages that show audited financial information. This information can be viewed for each of the county and city systems as well as statewide.
- Year at a Glance – Information on revenue, expenditures, and fund balance for a single year.
- Financial Trends – Information on trends related to revenue, expenditures, and fund balance based on a selected year range.
- Fiscal Health Trends – Five metrics related to solvency and reserves that measure fiscal health over a selected year range.
Tips and Tricks for the Dashboard Pages:
- Hovering over any visual will provide the full data (versus rounded numbers presented in the dashboard exhibits).
- A calculation listed as “unavailable” means the independent auditor’s report for the selected fiscal year has not yet been completed or submitted to DOAA.
- Information buttons on each page give more context to visuals.
- Navigate across the three pages (and the Exportable Data page) using the white buttons on each dashboard page.
- Navigate between viewing information for a particular system and the state as a whole by using the home button to return to the Landing page.
The Table View page contains all available data for each system.
- All Systems View – In this view, the year range filter can be used to narrow or expand the available data for all county and city school systems.
- Single System View – Use the dropdown menu to select the desired system. Information can be shown for one or multiple years based on the range selected.
- System Attributes View – A single system and year must be selected before comparing by system attributes. Once these selections have been made, the system’s information can be compared to other systems in the same Regional Education Service Area or with similar student counts or poverty levels.
Tips and Tricks for the Table View Page:
- The dropdown menu at the top allows the data view to be customized. All columns, a group, or a single column can be selected. Hold CTRL while selecting to choose more than one column.
- Sort any column by clicking the header. To sort more than one column, hold Shift while selecting the column headers.
